The CPL or the Commercial Pilot License is a license endowed on a pilot so their services can compensated. This is a special target to be reached by those who are looking to pursue a career as a pilot in commercial aviation, airlines, and other such roles through a comprehensive pilot course so that they can obtain remuneration on their services.
Hover Blue Aviation has joined hands with the best flying academies and schools worldwide to bring the finest commercial pilot training. It is taken up for students under the Indian DGCA curriculum.
Our CPL pilot course covers both theoretical understanding and practical training. The subjects covered under theory include Air Navigation and Regulation, Aviation Meteorology, Technical Knowledge, and RTR. Our students have to qualify for the DGCA CPL exams that cover these subjects to move to the practical aspect of the pilot course. They then take the RTR exam conducted by the WPC. If a student wishes to pursue their flight training from abroad or any commonwealth country, they are exempted from taking the Indian RTR exam.
The flying hours requirements in CPL are subject to country-wise standards. Here is an estimated flying hours guide that students must take up for a CPL/ ME/ IR:
COURSE ASPECT |
HOURS |
Total flying |
200 |
Simulator |
20 |
Pilot in command |
100 |
Multi-engine |
15 |
NOTE: These are only general requirements. Some countries may demand a higher total flying time than others.
To get an instrument rating with your CPL, you are to undergo 50 hours of Pilot In Command training across the country. Note that it must be more than a 100 nm radius that covers about 300 nautical miles. During this, you must make full-stop landings at 2 aerodromes. Our course covers nighttime PIC flying training along with various other in-flight training hours as demanded by DGCA for CPL/ ME/ IR.
